The Teaching Staff The core teaching staff is composed of five classroom teachers and a primary assistant for grades K through 3. The homeroom teacher-student ratio is a maximum of 1:20. Mathematics and certain enrichment courses are taught at a 1:10 teacher-student ratio. In addition, there are teachers who offer Art, Physical Education, Explorations, Music, and other special classes. The teaching staff meets every Friday afternoon for professional development training, discussion of academic issues, and individual student needs. Highly collegial, the teaching team works closely together to address children's needs and to learn from each other. |
