Admissions Process
[Note: The information below is meant to give you a general idea of the Admission Process. For complete information, please consult
the current admissions packet available from the GMS office.]
Each year, we hold two Open House events where families can explore the school
facility, view student work, and talk with students, teachers, and board
members.
The deadline for submitting completed application materials and fees, school records, and financial aid applications is usually in
mid-January, generally within a week or so of the second Open House.
Once you have submitted all application materials, application fees, and
school records, we will contact you to schedule a day for the following:
- A parent meeting with the Admissions Director (approximately 1 hour)
- For children applying to grades 1 through 4 — a 90 minute classroom visit
For children applying to grades 5 through 8 — a school visit lasting up to a half-day
The application process continues until full enrollment is reached. However, applications received prior to the
specified January deadline will have priority consideration. Admissions notifications are usually made by March 1, and
signed contracts and registration fees are due back in about three weeks. Should your child be placed on a waiting list,
we will notify you if an appropriate opening becomes available.
