Welcome to The GreenMount School website. Although I am the President of the Board of Trustees, I speak to you as one member of a diverse and committed parent body. My own precocious third-grade daughter is but one of the seventy students thriving in the GMS environment. We are a school, and we are a community.

Fourteen years ago, GMS was but the dreamchild of six adventurous parents devoted to a model for child-centered education. What began as a small pilot project, and then a home-school, and then a church-basement parent co-op, is now an established school with enrollment in grades 1-8, a dedicated and talented team of professional staff, and a tireless cadre of parent volunteers.

Our graduates go on to the best local high schools, both public and private, where they continue to excel in the arts, science, mathematics, and the humanities. We are confident that they are well-prepared for the next stages of their education and their lives.
