Fulfilling The GreenMount School mission depends on the presence of a diverse mix of children in the classroom. The school seeks to enroll children who are highly engaged learners with capacity for self-direction who would thrive in a small school setting. Some learning differences can be addressed at GreenMount, but we do not offer a special education program. The school environment is best suited to students and families that value co-operative achievement, community activism, and urban life.

Once enrolled, a child may continue at GreenMount as long as all enrollment contract terms are met, and the experience remains a mutually satisfying one for the student, family, and the school.
During the admissions process, the school seeks families who exhibit a commitment to becoming cooperative, engaged, dedicated members of the GreenMount community.
