School Governance

The Board of Trustees is composed primarily of parents and guardians of students enrolled at The GreenMount School. Board meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of each month during the school year and are open to all families. The Board has two all-school meetings per year: one in January and one in May. Board meeting minutes can be found in the parent portal.

Much of the Board’s work is carried out through committees that work with the full board. They include the DEIB committee, development committee, family and community engagement committee, facilities committee, finance committee, and governance committee. Any parent or guardian of a GMS student is welcome to participate on these committees.

Most of the day-to-day decision-making is delegated to The GreenMount Head of School, who oversees the teaching and administrative staff, as well as general school operations. For more information about the Board and how to become a Board member, please contact trustee@greenmountschool.org.
