School Governance
The GreenMount Board of Trustees strives to uphold the values of inclusivity, fairness, equity and cooperation that define the school. The Board brings together perspectives of local community members, educators, and parents and guardians of enrolled students. Board meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month during the school year and are open to all families. The Board has two all-school meetings per year: one in January and one in May. The Board's annual objectives and meeting minutes can be found in the parent portal.
Much of the Board’s work is carried out through committees that work with the full board. They include the development committee, finance and operations committee, and governance committee. Any parent or guardian of a GMS student is welcome to participate on these committees. Day-to-day operations is delegated to The GreenMount Head of School, who oversees the teaching and administrative staff, as well as general school functions.
