GMS Current Clubs/Activities

Students have the option to register for the following clubs, and more may be added throughout the school year.

Engineering Club

The GMS Engineering Club engineers solutions to interesting problems. The club will also make extensive use of the school’s LEGO kits to create innovative solutions to weekly challenges.

Food as Medicine Club

Students learn about nutrition and health through interactive games, activities, and cooking. The club is led by trained volunteers from Johns Hopkins University.

Minecraft Club

Students dig into the world of Minecraft and learn language arts, STEM, chemistry, math, history, and more. This club is offered by Nexplore USA.

Spanish Club

Children gain lifelong skills through learning Spanish in an age-appropriate way with ample opportunity to practice speaking and listening with others. This club is provided by Berlitz.

Zumba® and Zumba® Kids

Students will move to high-energy music, including hip hop, reggaeton, cumbia, and more that is choreographed and age-appropriate. Through dance, students increase focus, build self-confidence, and enhance coordination. This club is offered by Nexplore USA.

Challenge Island

A hands-on STEM after-school enrichment program that engages students through immersive challenges that strengthen critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. This club is offered by Challenge Island.
